I love my Teenager, and will support him in any way a mother can!!!

If you would have asked me 5 years ago, where I thought I would be right now, my answer would not have been what my life is now......in a good way! 5 years ago, I was in an unhappy marriage, living life day to day, trying to be happy with what I had---never knowing that true happiness was not mine. NOW, divorced, and remarried to the love of my life, I have found true happiness. True happiness to each and every one of us is different, none being right or wrong. I have found true happiness in just being myself.....goofey, nerdy, funny, emotional, spiritual. I used to think that someone could MAKE me happy, but found out the hard way, we make our own selves happy by the company we choose. I choose to be married to a wonderful, giving, funny, nerdy, spiritual, emotional family man. I choose to Love Jesus, and to be Catholic. I choose to look at my 18 year old son and see him for the man he is becoming. I choose to enjoy my 3 step sons as only a step-mother can. I choose to love a few people fiercly, and only call a few people my good friends. I continue to love animals as I always have, especially my Rotty-Mak, and my Husky-Kya.
I struggle with many health conditions that I would rather not have. Close to 5 years ago, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogrens Syndrome and fibromyalgia (along with high BP, depression, and anxiety). I am learning to live with them, but it is not an easy process, and I dont think I will ever "be used" to being sick. You will probably look at my picture albums and say I don't look sick, and I guess I am glad I don't. But trust me, every day I get out of bed, its a stuggle to keep going to work, keep plugging along when I don't feel good half the time. I find strength from some great online friends, Jesus, and the love of my family. I also have a wonderful Rheumatologist :)
I continue to be a Labor and Delivery RN, been at it for 16 years now (geesh, has it been that long?). I love helping families bring new life into this world.
Hmmm....well I think that about brings my life up to date (2011). That's it for now, about me!!!!
